I chose this book to learn the weave, and was pleasantly surprised.. I tried another book long ago and was confused by the directions. I work in wire so I had some understanding of wire and how it handles, but the instructions required a lot of trying to decipher the writers intention of the directions. Rachel has great pictures and is very clear about what is to be done. I was shocked at the difference it made! I started a bracelet and finished it the same afternoon, without problem. I highly recommend this book to anyone, even if you have never worked with wire before! You will have no trouble with this wonderful and beautiful weave. Kudos to Rachel for keeping it simple, with explanations for how and why when showing variations.Product details

Nothing new in this book
While this book did have a couple of bits of information - the same information can be found for free on the internet. I'm glad that I got the version rather than the printed one as I would really be upset with paying twice as much for so very little information and ideas. Too many of the projects were so much alike to fill up space that this book could have been 1/2 as many pages without losing anything. The only reason that it got the 2 stars is for the few bits of new information that it did have but I would definitely not call this book a comprehensive guide. So I'm back to looking for a book or DVD or anything that can help me take the Viking Weave to the next level - something that will inspire me to take a simple chain to the next level.
Very repetitive designs, and they look loose and sloppy. Only round wire is used. Nice for beginners, though. Rather basic, but probably good for starters.
Great instructional book. Instructions are easy to follow.
This is the only book you will need for Viking Wire Weaving. It explains everything... step by step... the colored photographs are really outstanding.
If you would like to learn how to make a Viking Knit - this book provides excellent instructions and pictures.
Good for people who know viking knitting technique and want to know how to apply it. Simple designs give room for plenty of variations with shapes, colors, beads and stones.
